However, I feel so good about my new life that I'm compelled to pay it forward and share my story with you!  Everyone should feel this good!

Recently, I visited my daughter who was away at college.  We hadn't seen each other since August and we were missing each other terribly.  She picked me up at the airport where we met in baggage claim.

We greeted each other with hugs, kisses, a couple of joyful tears, and an excitement for what the next few days would bring.

  We chatted and caught up as we watched the luggage go around the carousal.  We noticed the number of suitcases dwindled and it soon became apparent my suitcase didn't make it.

After verifying with the airline that there was definitely a problem,  they vowed to have my suitcase delivered the moment it arrived.  I was disappointed but wasn't going to let it ruin my arrival.

We left the airport and soon arrived at my daughter's dorm on campus.  After talking a bit more and meeting all of her new friends, we had to make a decision about going to dinner.  I really wanted to get to my hotel and freshen up after a long day of travel.  However, without my stuff, I felt a bit limited.

That's when my daughter said to me "Mom, you look awesome!  What have you been doing to lose so much weight?  You look 10 years younger!"  I smiled big and downplayed her compliments even though they made me feel great.

However, neither one of us could have predicted what happened next...

My daughter put a small bag together for me containing various things I would need until my suitcase arrived.  Then she said, "Mom, there's an awesome new pub/restaurant I want to take you to but we need to find you some clothes."

She proceeded to select an outfit out of her closet and said..."Here, try this on".

I looked at her and said, "What? Are you nuts? There's no way I can wear your clothes." She looked at me up and down and said "Just put them on. Just try."

It was amazing as I put on her really nice, upscale jeans, button down blouse, and slim sweater.

Everything Fit!!

We both jumped up and down giggling with excitement.  I was wearing my daughter's clothes and they fit me really well.

I teared up with joy as my daughter and her friends looked on with amazement throwing one compliment after another my way.  It felt so good.

  Suddenly, I was "The Cool Mom!"

We went to the new pub, had a great dinner, and when I finally arrived at my hotel, my suitcase was there waiting for me.

It was an awesome 4 day weekend filled with fun and laughter.  We shopped for new (smaller) clothes and had some extreme quality mother/daughter time.  I'll never forget this weekend as long as I live!


I've now made it my mission to share this story. I feel anyone reading this can have a similar experience.
